LHIEAP Energy Assistance is a one-time-a-year program that makes one payment to utility companies on behalf of the participant to help offset the high cost of winter bills. This program runs from October – March.
ECIP is an emergency assistance program to help with shut off notices. This program runs in the winter to help with heating bills and in the summer to help with cooling bills.
NECAC also offers other energy assistance programs such as Dollar More, Dollar Help, and Heat up & Cool down, etc.
NECAC offices help as funding is available for emergency rental, deposits, etc. through, United Way, FEMA, Homeless Challenge, etc.
The Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) is to provide homelessness prevention assistance to households who would otherwise become homeless – many due to the economic crisis – and to provide assistance to rapidly re-house persons who are experience homelessness.
