ECAC works closely with the Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC), USDA Rural Development, HUD and private investors in the planned development, acquisition and renovation of quality affordable housing. Since 1997, NECAC has been a partner in the construction, renovation, management or planned development of more than 1300 apartments for the elderly, families and the disabled. This represents an investment of more than $61.5 million in providing quality housing. NECAC is a nationally chartered member of NeighborWorks America and Rural Local Initiatives Support Corporation (Rural LISC.)

ince 1997, NECAC's been a partner in the construction, renovation, management or planned development of more than 1,300 apartments for the elderly, families and the disabled. The developments represent an investment of more than $61.5 million in providing quality housing.

n Jan. 30, 2007, NECAC and its partners broke ground on the $6.5 million, 52-unit Mill Pond Senior Apartments in O'Fallon, and completion is expected by the end of the year.

onstruction was completed in 2007 on the $2.5 million, 54-unit addition at the Wyndham Park Senior Apartments in St. Peters, and work is expected to be done by early 2008 on the $2.8 million, 60-unit addition at the Gentemann Manor Senior Apartments in O'Fallon.

enovation was also a key component of NECAC's housing development efforts in 2007. The $2.9 renovation of the 72-unit Anderson Apartments in Palmyra was completed in 2007, and work proceeded on the Oakbrook and Hannibal apartment complexes in Hannibal.

     

 Housing Development

NECAC and USDA presented keys to three new homeowners under the "Self-Help" program on April 8 in Moberly.  SInce 1998, 46 homes have been built with the program.
